2009 Santé Restaurant Awards Winners Announced

Santé is pleased to announce that 60 stellar hospitality-industry professionals are winners of 2009 Santé Restaurant Awards. Now in their twelfth year, the Santé Restaurant Awards were created to recognize excellence in restaurant food, wine, spirits, and service hospitality. The Santé Awards program is the only peer-judged restaurant and hospitality competition in North America.

Winners are invited to The Sagamore--a world class resort located on Lake George in the heart of the breathtaking Adirondack region--to experience the educational value and after-hours fun of our four-day Santé Restaurant Symposium*. It all happens from October 18-21, 2009.

To apply for an award or to nominate a restaurant, a chef, or a wine, spirits, or service professional, download the application and return it by June 15, 2009.

*Winners receive two complimentary conference passes excluding meals (meal passes are available for a nominal fee); travel and lodging are not included.

About the Awards

Now in its twelfth year, the Santé Awards program was created to recognize excellence in restaurant food, wine, and spirits service and hospitality. The program includes four distinct categories: Culinary Hospitality, Wine Hospitality, Spirits Hospitality, and Service Professional.

Santé Awards for each category are given to winners in eight regions nationwide (New England, New York City, Mid-Atlantic, Southeast, Midwest, Mountain/Southwest, California, and West Coast).

Seven Grand Awards also are presented each year:

Entries for these awards receive scores from three judges. The restaurant receiving the highest score in each region and category wins the honor. If two restaurants tie for the highest score, both receive awards.
