JENNIFER DESMOND APPOINTED BRAND AMBASSADOR AT WINES OF CHILE

NEW YORK, NY (March 20, 2012) – Jennifer Desmond, DWS, has been named Brand Ambassador in New York for Wines of Chile USA.  Her responsibilities will focus on developing and maintaining relationships with buyers in both on and off-premise accounts in the New York Metro area. 

Jennifer holds the prestigious Diploma in Wines and Spirits from the Wine and Spirits Education Trust (WSET) and is currently the co-chair of the Wine Committee for the New York Women’s Culinary Alliance.  In addition she received a number of academic awards and scholarships  throughout her wine education and has studied in France and Italy as well as the U.S.

According to Lori Tieszen, Executive Director of Wines of Chile USA, “We’re excited to have Jennifer on the team. She has a proven track record, extensive wine knowledge, and a great network within the industry from her past experience with a number of premium domestic and imported wine brands.”

“As Brand Ambassador in New York, Jennifer will be spearheading trade efforts, complementing the work Rebecca Chapa has been doing for us in San Francisco,” Tieszen continued. “This is further reinforcement of the commitment of Wines of Chile USA to help expand the awareness and knowledge of Chilean wines among the community of sommeliers, F&B managers, retailers and others who are very important in bringing the story of Wines of Chile to consumers in the New York area.”
