“Piemonte Land of Perfection” is excited to announce that they are hosting their Grand Tasting in New York City on Wednesday, July 18th, 2012. This prestigious event is exclusively for industry trade and press professionals and will feature hundreds of wines, both imported and non-imported (seeking US Distribution), all taking place at Three Sixty; a spectacular modern space conveniently located in the heart of Tribeca, easily accessible by car, train, or subway from all over the tri-state area.
Come absorb and ascertain the rich history of this acclaimed region and understand the key elements that make the wines of Piemonte so unique and exceptional. Come swirl, sip and savor some of Piemonte’s main grape varietals including Nebbiolo, Barbera, Dolcetto, Moscato, & Brachetto, while also discovering other gems that you are less familiar with such as Cortese, Arneis, Favorita, Freisa, Pelaverga Verduno, Bonarda, Grignolino, and Ruchè. This is the perfect opportunity to speak with the exhibitors while simultaneously expanding your palette and overall awareness.
“Piemonte Land of Perfection” groups together the main consortiums for the protection of individual products (Consorzi di Tutela) and producers’ associations with the aim of creating a virtuous circle of dialogue with the Piemonte Regional Council to promote the region’s local products in Italy and abroad. It was founded by six institutional members, the Consortium for the Protection of Asti, the Consortium for the Protection of Barolo, Barbaresco, Alba, Langhe, and Roero, the Consortium for the Protection of Brachetto d’Acqui, the Consortium for the Protection of Asti and Monferrato Wines, the Association of Moscato d’Asti Producers and the Association of Piedmontese Vine Dressers, in addition to the Canelli Wine Growers’ Cooperative. All set out to create a versatile organization capable not only of representing their interests but also of guiding activities of the “made in Piemonte” label. Through the consortiums it represents, the “Piemonte Land of Perfection Grand Tasting Event” will present a wide range of fine wines that you can explore at the tasting.
