Mark Vaughan

Mark Vaughan has worked in broadcast and print journalism as a publisher, producer, editor, writer and reporter. In 1996, he founded On-Premise Communications, Inc. (OPC) in Bennington, Vermont, where he created and managed the growth of Santé magazine, a business-to-business publication targeted at the full-service restaurant and hospitality trade. Under his guidance, Santé grew to be a highly respected publication with over 55,000 readers throughout North America and abroad.  Since its launch in 1996, Santé has received numerous awards for its editorial and design excellence.

Prior to founding OPC, Mr. Vaughan held full-time positions with a number of major media companies. These include CBS News, where he produced a feature-length document with Bill Moyers titled “On River, One Country” about the U.S./Mexico boarder, The Economist Intelligence Group, and the Foreign Policy Association.  For several years, Mr. Vaughan worked as a free-lance writer with such prestigious publications as for Food Arts, Cigar Aficionado, The New York Times, Wine Spectator and International Business magazines. He has lived and traveled extensively in Europe, Latin America, Asia, Africa and the United States.

Mr. Vaughan holds graduate degrees in Public and International Affairs from Columbia University with a concentration in economics and journalism, and in Spanish and Latin American Literature from the State University of New York at Albany. His undergraduate degree is medieval Literature from Bennington College.
