Michael Rich is a safety researcher and writer for Safety Services Company, North America’s largest supplier of safety training materials. Michael attended the University of Arizona earning a degree in journalism with an emphasis on public policy. As a student he earned the honors of the Don Boles fellowship, which is bestowed on one journalist a year and assigns them to cover state politics for a year. His stories from the fellowship were placed in more than 40 publications across the state, including the Arizona Republic and Arizona Daily Star. After graduating Michael would begin his career as a news assistant for a news organization serving more than 40,000 people. He would quickly rise in the organization becoming a multimedia editor and earn a multimedia fellowship at UC Berkeley. However, after three years of service Michael decide to leave the news organization in hopes of helping America’s employers stay safe and up-to-date with their safety requirements.
