Natalie Bovis, a Santa Fe-based beverage consultant, mixology educator, cocktail book author and all-around spirits expert, mixes The Perfect Purée Green Apple and Ginger purées with apple cider, coconut oil and cinnamon in the antioxidant-rich Ginger Apple Zen.

“The Perfect Puree has such an expansive variety of flavors that it's a go-to ingredient whenever I’m looking to create something unique", Bovis says.  “Although I love making homemade ingredients for my drinks, buying The Perfect Purée provides a shortcut without cutting any corners in quality.”
Another leading lady of the liquor industry, Kim Haasarud of the Phoenix beverage consulting company Liquid Architecture, mixes Barritt’s Ginger Beer with The Perfect Purée Yuzu Luxe Sour, an aromatic botanical blend of lemongrass, Kaffir lime leaf and citrusy yuzu.

Visual appeal goes a long way towards making a drink stand out before the first sip. Natalia Cardenas, the beverage development manager at Breakthru Beverage, appreciates The Perfect Purée because it eliminates the headache of sourcing fresh, consistent-tasting ingredients year-round while preventing unnecessary waste. But she also loves the color it brings to drinks. 
“The colors are so vibrant and eye-catching,” Cardenas says.

The bartender’s ‘secret weapon’
Celebrated New York City bartender Alex Valencia promotes Mexican mixology through his use of “alt agave” spirits at his three downtown Manhattan locations — La Contenta, La Contenta Oeste and the soon-to-open La Contenta Next Door. A bar menu of traditional pulque (fermented agave sap) and tepache (sweetened fermented pineapple rind) may feature homemade guanábana purée in one drink and the The Perfect Purée in another. Alex says The Perfect Purée’s extensive variety of textures and flavors enhance his creativity. One of his most popular cocktails is Pulque de Guayaba with Pink Guava, Santa Teresa Rum and lime juice.

Like most, Alex doesn’t mention The Perfect Purée by name on his menu but he readily credits it for enhancing his beverage program. Others, according to fellow New York City bartender and former Perfect Purée brand ambassador Mimi Burnham, don’t like to admit their great-tasting secret ingredient is a pre-packaged purée because they like to say they make everything by hand. The fact is, most professional bars simply cannot afford the added time and cost of making their own purées because fresh produce is expensive, out of stock or lacking in quality. “Many bars consider The Perfect Purée to be their 'secret weapon,' if you will, and are not looking to highlight this detail,” Burnham says.

New flavors in November
In November, look for two new flavors from The Perfect Purée: Red Jalapeño Puree and Peach Ginger.
