Wine Australia Announces AUSTRALIA TODAY Road Show Tour

Event date:
January 13, 2014 - 11:00pm

San Francisco: Tuesday, January 14, 2014
New York: Wednesday, January 22, 2014
Houston: Monday, February 3, 2014

Australian exports to the United States have continued to evolve over 2012 and 2013 -- driven by a renewed interest from trade and consumers for Australia’s regional, premium, diverse, and refreshed offerings.  Importers and wineries are responding to this demand and today you will find more boutique Australian wines available in the market, greater regional diversity across the category and an eclectic offering across broad price-point and style preferences.

AUSTRALIA TODAY Road Show events will feature over 250 wines and over 65 brands from 30 different wine-growing regions across Australia.  In a significant move to support this growing commitment to the U.S. marketplace, Wine Australia has also created a Market Access Program to support wineries entering the U.S. market. The program helps wineries with logistics, marketing, visibility, and importer and business connections.

Attending Trade and Media guests will have the opportunity to:

  • Taste wines from the lesser known regions making their way to the U.S.
  • Enjoy classics from the renowned Barossa, McLaren Vale, Yarra Valley and the Margaret River
  • Learn more about Australia’s modern approach to Chardonnay at the Chardonnay Focus Table
  • Delve into some of Australia’s viticultural treasures at the ‘Old Vines’ Focus Table
  • Visit the Market Access tables for a look at 20 wineries entering the U.S. market in 2014
